This study took as its theme a specific historical curiosity, notwithstanding modelling for later epochs an establishment which might be astounding but practically reasonable enough to become permanent and salutary. Before the genuine part expounding the related source analyses, a preliminary chapter opens new insight into the gist of the historical syndrome of the Carpathian region in Eastern Europe. At the end of the study a practical aid is added for use of the author's large monograph (published in German, 1969) on history of the Great Migration period and within prioritized on history of Pannonia in the fourth and fifth century.
